Introduction
Aurexus Group Ltd ("Aurexus", "we", "us" or "our") recognises that technology organisations have environmental responsibilities — from energy consumption in cloud infrastructure to electronic waste and the carbon footprint of AI computation.
This Environmental Policy sets out our commitment to minimising environmental impact while delivering AI engineering, intelligent transformation and applied research services.

As an early-stage, growing UK technology company, our environmental programme is proportionate to our current scale. We do not claim certifications we have not achieved, but we are building responsible practices into how we operate and engineer.
Scope
This policy applies to:
- Office operations at our registered address and remote working
- Cloud infrastructure and data centre usage
- Software development and AI model deployment
- Procurement of hardware, equipment and services
- Business travel and events
- Waste disposal and recycling
Environmental Priorities
1. Sustainable technology and cloud use
Technology is our primary environmental footprint. We:
- Select cloud providers that publish environmental commitments and renewable energy targets
- Right-size infrastructure to avoid over-provisioning
- Use serverless and auto-scaling where appropriate to match demand
- Consider computational efficiency when selecting AI models and architectures
- Archive or delete unnecessary data in accordance with retention policies

2. Energy efficiency
We:
- Use energy-efficient equipment and enable power management on devices
- Favour remote collaboration to reduce unnecessary travel
- Choose office facilities with reasonable energy efficiency where within our control
3. Waste reduction and recycling
We:
- Minimise printing and paper use; favour digital documentation
- Recycle paper, cardboard, plastics and electronic waste through approved schemes
- Dispose of IT equipment through certified e-waste recyclers when hardware is decommissioned
- Avoid single-use materials where practical alternatives exist
4. Sustainable procurement
We:
- Assess suppliers' environmental credentials where practicable
- Prefer durable, repairable equipment over disposable alternatives
- Consider refurbished hardware where appropriate for non-production use
- Require proportionate environmental compliance in supplier contracts as procurement matures
5. Transport
We:
- Encourage use of public transport, cycling and walking for commuting where feasible
- Minimise non-essential business travel; use video conferencing as default
- Combine trips and plan travel efficiently when in-person meetings are necessary
6. Environmental awareness
We:
- Communicate this policy to all personnel
- Encourage individual responsibility for environmental impact
- Review practices as the organisation grows
Regulatory Compliance
We comply with applicable UK environmental legislation, including waste duty of care requirements, WEEE regulations for electronic equipment disposal, and any local authority requirements applicable to our premises.
We monitor developments in environmental reporting requirements for UK companies and will comply as obligations apply to Aurexus based on our size and turnover.
Measuring Progress
As we grow, we intend to:
- Track cloud energy consumption and carbon metrics where providers supply them
- Monitor waste volumes and recycling rates
- Set proportionate reduction targets based on baseline data
- Report progress in annual reviews
At our current stage, formal carbon accounting is not yet established. We will implement measurement as our operations scale.
Client and Product Impact
Our platforms can contribute to environmental benefit indirectly — for example, by reducing unnecessary travel through better operational coordination in healthcare, or improving supply chain efficiency in pharmaceutical logistics. We evaluate environmental impact as part of our broader transformation methodology but do not overstate claims without evidence.
Continuous Improvement
This policy is reviewed at least annually. We will strengthen our environmental programme as Aurexus grows, client deployments expand and regulatory expectations evolve.
